One and Two Day Jewish Heritage Tour of Berlin

You are about to Visit Germany! There is so much to see and do in this Historical City. This is an exciting tour that gives you an inside view of the citys turbulent past and future. Your tour will include a lot of sights connected with the Jewish Heritage in Berlin.
We have arranged a tour for you to see the majority of the main sights & landmarks during this the 1-Day-Tour and all at an affordable price. And we can now offer a 2-Day-Tour as well.

You will be picked up at the pier in a private A/C vehicle. It will be at your service for 12 hours. You will enjoy a 3 hr ride on the German Autobahn on your way to the city of Berlin. You will then be met by our English speaking guide.
The tour of Berlin is full of history! Sightseeing will include highlights of the capital with photo stops at the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, The Berlin Wall, and many others (see the whole list below). Great emphasis will be put on the Jewish heritage in Berlin till 1933 and the present day life of the Jewish communtity in Berlin. You will have a chance to walk, drive and take plenty of pictures on the tour. You also have the option to try a traditional German meal for lunch.

1-Day Jewish Heritage Tour

Tour prices include the following services:
1. Transfer Warnemunde-Berlin-Warnemunde in a SPB-Tours A/C vehicle
2. private A/C vehicle in Berlin for 6 hours
3. English-speaking guide in Berlin for 6 hours
4. Entrance fee to the Jewish Museum

10.00 am – 11.00 am	City sightseeing of (West) Berlin, including the Charlottenburg Palace, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Ku’damm, the Tiergarten, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the site of the Hitler Bunker, and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (Holocaust Memorial)
11.00 am – 12.00 pm	City sightseeing of (East) Berlin, including the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Unter den Linden, Bebelplatz (Book Burning Memorial, Humboldt University, State Opera House), Neue Wache Memorial, Museum Islan
12.00 pm – 1.00 pm	Lunch (German meal with a great German beer, if desired)
1.00 pm – 2.30 pm	Walking tour of the Jewish Quarter in Berlin – Rosentrasse Memorial, Otto Weidt’s Workshop for the Belin, Grosse Hamburger Strasse (site of old Jewish cemetery, Jewish high school, and many poignant memorials), and the New Synagogue on Oranienburgerstrasse
2.30 pm – 4.00 pm	Optional visit to the Jewish Museum
4.00 pm	Departure to Warnemünde
7.00 pm	Arrival in Warnemünde / Return to the ship

NOTE – Times and locations may vary depending on several factors, including when your ship arrivals and leaves, as well as interests of the groups and traffic in Berlin. Each tour is personalized and therefore different, but please be assured that every group will see the most important sights. In order to see all of the Jewish sites, some of the main sights will be seen more quickly than in our Classical One-Day Tour.

2-Day Jewish Heritage Tour

Tour prices include the following services:
DAY 1:

10.30 am – 1.00 pm	City sightseeing tour covering the most famous Jewish sights, such as the  Old Jewish quarter in Mitte, the New Synagogue (present center of Judaism; inside visit is optional), old Jewish cemetery,  the Jewish High School, Otto Weidt’s workshop for the Blind  and others. Along with the Jewish sights you’ll see the most important historical German sights of Eastern Berlin: Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall,  Brandenburg Gate, Book-burning memorial, the sight of Hitler’s bunker, the Reichstag, Topography of Terrors, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (Holocaust memorial)
1.00 pm – 2.00 pm	Lunch: traditional German meal including a selection of local beers (optional)
2.00 pm – 2.30 pm	Drive to the Jewish Museum
2.30 pm – 4.30 pm	A visit to the Jewish Museum
4.30 pm – 6.00 pm	Continuation of the city tour. Drive to the hotel.
